How We Treat
A chiropractor can treat foot pain by performing adjustments to the bones in the foot and ankle to restore proper alignment and function. They may also use techniques such as massage, stretching, and exercises to help reduce pain and inflammation in the foot. Additionally, a chiropractor may recommend orthotics or other supportive devices to help alleviate pain and improve foot function.

EXPECTATIONS
What to Expect During Your Visit
Custom foot orthotics are covered under many extended health benefit plans. However, each insurer has their own requirements for approving reimbursement. If you intend to make an insurance claim, please check whether you first require a medical prescription (usually from a physician). Also, confirm that you can have your orthotics dispensed by a chiropractor. Note: we cannot do direct billing for orthotics.

Orthotics and Gait Assessment – Please bring along the pair of shoes you intend to have fitted for orthotics. Your chiropractor will perform an examination of your feet and conduct a gait and biomechanical assessment. A foam box mold of each foot will be taken. Payment for the orthotics must be made in full at the time of your appointment. Your orthotics will typically be ready in about two weeks, and you will be contacted for a short fitting.
